Lovingkindness Meditation

This practice is inspired by the Buddhist practice of Metta. This is related to Yoga Philosophy with the four attitudes described by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. Similarly to Tonglen and the Medicine Buddha, the practices is to assist in cultivating Values which are extended to oneself and the world–as there is no difference. I changed the order in which the practice is extended to sending lovingkindess to oneself and an enemy last–as it may be difficult to cultivate those feelings easily.
