A Little About Me…

Changing the Past, Transforming the Future, by Loving Right Now!

Greetings Friend,

Wow—I hit 10 years of this blog. It’s 2025, and I intend to refresh the content and add new musings. Please bear with any broken links.

I began studying Yoga philosophy in the early 1990s on the Bhakti path of Siddha Yoga. It was a beautiful introduction to Yoga as a devotional practice. I became intrigued by the body through Asana. I trained in several yoga postural systems and became a prolific full-time Yoga asana teacher with classes and a teacher’s training program throughout metro Atlanta.  I obtained a B.S. in exercise science and a Master’s in public health, learning biomechanics, injury prevention, and chronic disease management.  Despite the “success,” the original depth and sincerity were lacking.

In 2007, I met Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati. I was introduced to the Himalayan Tradition (traditional Yoga Meditation of the Himalayan Masters, the convergence of the three streams: Yoga as expounded in the Yoga Sutras, Advaita Vedanta, and Samaya Shri Vidya), which is dedicated to the art and science of Self-Realization. I was forever changed; now my focus has shifted to the internal, the true goal of Yoga, and I share these teachings–where meditation practice is central.

In 2018, I graduated OneSpirit Interfaith Seminary.  I co-lead weekly meditation sittings and facilitate guided meditation on Sunday services at Unity North Atlanta Spiritual Center.  In 2019, I became program coordinator for the Piedmont Women’s Heart Program.  Through this endeavor, I organize free events, lead meditation, teach adaptive Qi Gong/yoga, and do individual coaching to help educate all women about a holistic, heart-healthy lifestyle.

I am a busy Mom, happily married to my husband, Jon. We live in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, with our exceptional children, four cats, and a chihuahua. Amidst the chaos of my rapidly moving life, I am studying, guiding, and trying to live the Yoga Meditation Philosophy. It is my passion to share ancient practices in modern and concise language.

Om Shanti Namasté
ओम शांति नमस
